CSI: Miami NBN, 8.30pm
XZIBIT, the hip-hop artist whose name looks like a word you'd get after headbutting a computer keyboard, is the guest star in tonight's episode. Not stretching him too much, he plays rapper 10-Large who gets shot and his bodyguard is murdered during a concert. Clearly 10-Large's personal security really sucks but suspicion turns to a rival rapper who thinks his song has been stolen. Detective Horatio Caine (played by David Caruso, pictured) looks into the crime, though with those dark sunglasses he always wears even indoors it's hard to believe he could really look at anything. The 2004 IF Awards SBS, 8.30pm A FILM awards night where the winners are chosen by the public. Hopefully they won't make the same mistake as the AFI Awards and give absolutely everything going to Somersault. Maybe it deserves a few. The cinematography was good and the lead actors were impressive, especially Abbie Cornish. But, my God, the film itself was boring. The First 48Prime, 11pm A TRUE-LIFE criminal investigation series worth staying up for. The 48 hours in a murder case are the most crucial; the chances of solving the crime greatly diminish after two days. This series follows homicide detectives through cases. Fascinating stuff.
